How it works
This tool uses RMBG-1.4, an open-source AI segmentation model by BRIA AI, running entirely inside your browser via Transformers.js. After the AI runs, you can fine-tune the result using the brush editor — paint to restore areas that were wrongly removed, or erase background bits the AI missed. No image data ever leaves your device.
Tips for best results
- Use the Restore brush to bring back parts of your subject the AI accidentally removed.
- Use the Erase brush to clean up any background areas the AI missed.
- Use a smaller brush size near edges for more precision.
- High contrast between subject and background gives the AI cleaner results to start with.
- Output is always PNG to preserve transparency.

The AI model is about 40 MB and downloads once to your browser cache. Subsequent images process in just a few seconds — the wait is only on the very first use.
